Meet Patricia

Korean-born Patricia Lefler began dancing at age 2. Her mother enrolled her in classes after noticing that Patricia would hop onto the fireplace and dance whenever music played. By 2½, she gave her first performance—ever the showgirl who loves to make a statement.

For over 30 years, Patricia has been a choreographer, teacher, and coach. Her training spans dance, martial arts, acro, and gymnastics, and she loves blending these elements to create unique, memorable routines. She has worked with competitive gymnastics, cheerleading, and dance teams, earning both state and national titles. Known as the “clean-up” and “synchronicity” coach, she delights in watching a group move as one heartbeat.

Patricia choreographs for wedding couples, father–daughter dances, cotillions, show choirs, quinceañeras, dance teams, martial arts groups, and drag queens. Beyond choreography, she loves teaching. She recalls waltzing on her mother’s feet at age four; today, she teaches more than 15 styles—from Ballroom to Country, Latin to Swing—with a current obsession for Argentine tango. When asked her favorite style, she answers: all of them. She treasures the moment her students’ confidence shines with that essential “Aha!”

Service is central to Patricia’s mission of bringing joy through dance. She volunteers for numerous charities and events and received the Mayor’s Award for her work helping people with disabilities. She brings students to nursing homes and military facilities to support those struggling with PTSD. With her blind student Peggy, she formed “The Dancing Peas,” volunteering to teach at the Tennessee School for the Blind; together, they’ve traveled the country and were recognized by Fox News for their impact. Alongside her dance partner, Sasan Saati, she launched Give-n-Groove—gathering communities to dance for a good cause. They’ve taken Give-n-Groove to other cities and hope to resume these events in the near future.
